Pavement measurement

For scanning of a transversal road surface profile, 33 laser sensors at a distance of 100mm each are installed at a right angle to the direction of motion on a tool carrier. The measurment beam features a motor-operated collapsable section on the side, which faces the verge.

So that the vehicle can also pass and scan narrow roads without any re-adjusting of the equipment. The measuring data from all sensors are registered synchronously once per 0.01 mtr.; a transversal profile is evaluated each 0.1 mtr. A GPS-supported gyro measuring system is used for position correction of the measurement values.
