Texture measurement
As it is possible to measure in direction of the road surface while in motion, naturally the reversal is also possible, i.e. the detection of road surface conditions in travelling motion. This is important for test stand simulation, for which as accurate information as possible about the actual road conditions of test routes is required for carrying out a field experienced simulation. Furthermore, knowledge about road surfaces is an important parameter for the development of tyres with regard to aquaplaning and noise behaviour.
