Contact measuring systems

The pneumatically driven mea­suring heads are integrated in the measuring frame and thus extensively protected against mechanical influences. In case of a continuous measuring material, har­dened and ground precision measuring rollers are used. The mea­suring rollers’ running surface is designed in accordance to the respective measuring material’s surface con­dition (e.g. crowned or cylindrical running surface).

By optional air pressure adjusting at the plotting device the mea­suring-power can be changed and adjusted to the mea­suring-material.

After each measuring process, the appliance is automatically re-calibrated by placing the measuring scanners directly on top of each other and zeroizing them. Thereby a high measuring safety and accuracy is guaranteed. Longterm wear and tear and thermal deformation are completely compensated for. Each measuring-process starts from the current zero position.
